That judgment is where the estimate is actually made: which items come apart, what the customer forgot to film, whether a “Not confirmed” access answer needs a call before the truck is sized. The report tells you where to look; it does not tell you what to charge.

By removing the travel from the survey. When the customer records the walkthrough themselves, an estimator’s capacity is limited by how long a report takes to review rather than by how many addresses fit in a day.
How can movers reduce estimator drive time?
Send a survey link instead of scheduling a visit for routine jobs, and reserve in-person surveys for large, high-value or complex moves and for any customer who asks to meet. The visits that remain are the ones worth making.
Does an AI survey replace the estimator?
No. It replaces the collection step. The estimator reviews the Move Report, corrects anything the camera missed and prices the job on the company’s own rates.
What should an estimator capture before quoting a job?
Inventory by space, total cubic feet, estimated weight, specialty items, and access at both the origin and the destination — stairs, elevator, carry distance and parking. Missing access is the most common reason a quote and an invoice diverge.
