For residential moving companies

Every room, surveyed from the customer’s phone.

CubitMove is built for household goods moves: houses and apartments, local and long-distance, surveyed by the customer in their own time and quoted on your rates. The space presets are the rooms a home actually has, and the volumes are conventional cube sheet volumes.

What a home survey covers

The rooms, and the things that change the price.

  • Living room, kitchen, dining room, bedrooms, bathroom, home office, garage, basement, attic, storage unit and outdoor space
  • Furniture, appliances and cartons, sized against standard cube sheet volumes
  • Specialty items called out — pianos, safes, pool tables, marble, large glass
  • Items that need disassembly flagged per space
  • Stairs, elevator, long walk and parking, at both the origin and the destination

The jobs it suits

Local, long-distance and interstate household moves.

A virtual survey earns the most on routine household jobs inside your normal service range, on long-distance moves where a site visit was never going to happen, and on price-shopping customers who will take the first written estimate that arrives.

It earns least on high-value homes, custom crating and any customer who asks to meet you — and a customer who asks for a visit is a sales opportunity, not an inefficiency. The comparison page says where the line falls in more detail.

FAQs

Questions movers ask about this.

Can a customer survey their own apartment?

Yes. The survey runs in the phone browser and is designed to be completed by the customer alone, one space at a time, with no appointment.

Does CubitMove work for long-distance and interstate moves?

Yes. The output is volume, estimated weight and access, which are what interstate pricing is built on. CubitMove does not price the move; your rate card does.

Can video surveys replace in-home moving surveys?

Not for every job. They replace the visit on routine household moves within your normal range, and on jobs too small or too far to justify the drive. Keep the in-home visit for large or high-value homes, custom crating, and any customer who asks to meet you.

The next step

See it on one of your own jobs.

The fastest way to judge CubitMove is to run a move you have already completed through it and compare the report against your own invoice.
